here is a list of my favorite classic rock/hard rock bands:
Queen, Led Zeppelin, Foreigner, Black Sabbath (even though they might be considered a metal band, but i like metal too so.... yeah)
the Beatles, John Lennon, Van Halen, Kansas, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, the Who, the Doors, and too many others. hahaha! :)

Which one? Some of their songs really sucks, but they also have a lot of great songs like Chop Suey, Lonely Day, Roulette, Lost in Hollywood... and so on. :)
